As Granlab continues on our journey towards helping millions of people around the world who are battling chronic skin conditions, we are proud to announce two exciting developments coming to our offering in the coming weeks: the launch of The Clearing, our new community support initiative, and our upcoming lip balm user feedback trial, a pilot study designed for people with sensitive lips and chronic skin conditions.
Launching The Clearing
Living with a chronic skin condition can often feel lonely and isolating. Beyond the physical symptoms, patients can experience emotional and mental challenges, uncertainty around the best route to take regarding treatment and maintenance, and impacts on how they navigate daily life. It is hard to make connections with people who truly understand the toll skin conditions can take on living a ‘normal’ life.
That is why we created The Clearing.
The Clearing will provide a safe and compassionate space designed for people living with chronic skin conditions. Here, they can come together, share experiences, and build meaningful connections whilst gaining the support they so desperately deserve. It is the first group of its kind in Northern Ireland, and we are proud to be leading this pioneering step in skincare support.
Within The Clearing, participants will find:
Peer support: the chance to talk openly and without judgment with others who share similar journeys.
Shared experiences: opportunities to listen, learn, and reflect together.
Expert-led discussions: guidance and insights from professionals who understand the science and care behind chronic conditions.
A sense of community: a place where no one feels isolated.
We believe that this space will have the power to change how people experience long-term skin conditions, not just through medical care, but through connection, understanding, and empowerment.

Our new user feedback trial for our lip balm
Just in time for cold weather and sore lips, our team is also preparing to launch something very special: an opportunity for people to participate in our lip balm user feedback trial.
Developed by our team of scientists with the support of Innovate UK, this new lip balm is designed to go beyond temporary relief. It has been carefully formulated to address the needs of people who are prone to dryness, irritation, eczema, or psoriasis around the mouth.
We know that lip health is about more than comfort, and can affect confidence and quality of life. This trial is an opportunity to test a product created specifically with sensitive skin in mind, and to contribute valuable feedback that will shape its development.
Participation in our lip balm user feedback trial will involve:
A single, short visit (15–30 minutes), either online or in person
A personalised 1-to-1 assessment with our founder, Dr Pragya Sharma, ensuring a professional and supportive experience
The opportunity to preview one of our products and give feedback to help shape a unique product designed to improve lip care for thousands of people
Participants must be aged 18+ and have a history of inverse psoriasis, eczema around the mouth, or sensitive skin.
By joining the study, you will not only try a new product but also play a part in advancing innovation in skincare, helping us take steps toward the next generation of products designed for sensitive skin.
